Material Recycling

Aggregates are “going green”! We are licensed by the Westchester County Department of Health to accept the following for recycling: Concrete, Blacktop, Flagstone, Block, and Rock.

The material must be clean, identifiable and free of any organic matter such as wood or soil, and per Westchester County Regulations, the origin of the material must be stated. The fee (“tipping fee”) for dumping this material varies depending on the material. Please call for pricing. These items must be separate. There is no charge for pure, clean rock.

Recycling Fees

• Brush, branches, and logs: $25 per yard
• Leaves: $7 per yard
• Stumps: $40 per yard (MUST be clean)
• Yard Waste: $50 per yard
• Woodchips: $7 per yard
• Clean Brick: $50 per yard
• Clean Blacktop: $18 per yard
• Clean Concrete: $20 per yard
• EPN (Excessive Prep Needed) Concrete: $35 per yard (please inquire)
• Clean Dirt Fill: $10 per yard (by appointment only)
• Rocky Fill: $4 per yard

The Local Products listed on our Price List are recycled from the material we accept.

Depending upon the ratio of blacktop to concrete, the amount of rock and the color of rock that we have accepted, the local products — Recycled Item #4, ¾” gravel, Rip Rap, Dead Sand and 1 1/2” gravel — will vary somewhat in color, size and texture.

Recycling benefits the consumer and the environment: by re-using materials that could otherwise only be obtained by mining, we are able to offer high-quality products at very reasonable prices.

According to the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, in 2009 alone, recycling facilities throughout the state received approximately 10.5 million tons of debris and recovered (recycled) approximately 6 million tons of material.
