Lawton Adams Construction, Established 1939

Truck snaphsot

In 1939, Lawton Adams Sr. began selling firewood and coal to the post-depression inhabitants of Somers and the surrounding towns from the back of his pick-up truck. Through incessant hard work and determination, his modest business grew to include site work, and eventually, an 18-acre supply yard located on Route 100 in Somers, New York.

Lawton was a forward-thinking business man who was generous with his time and knowledge, and intolerant of dishonest, shoddy work. His reputation as a fair-minded business owner was founded on his personal and professional integrity and strong work ethic.

We would like to think that Lawton would be proud of what his business has become today: still family-owned and operated, Lawton Adams maintains a steady and reliable workforce that continues to provide excellent service. We have diversified over the years, adding an extensive line of landscape and masonry products, introducing recycling as our newest service and focusing on the needs of the equestrian community by specializing in riding arenas and related horse farm site work.

We look forward to providing you with the materials, services and advice that will make your next project a complete success.
