Recycling has become one of the most important and productive aspects of our business.  

For nearly a decade, Lawton Adams has been licensed by Westchester County to recycle concrete, blacktop and other types of materials. We carefully inspect everything that we accept for recycling, and convert what we accept into marketable products;  recycled Item #4, gravel, rip rap, screened fill, crushed concrete and compost are just a few of the products that we are able to offer at affordable prices. Recycling allows us to carry a wide variety of products at very competitive prices, which benefits our customers and the environment.

Winter 2011-2012 at Lawton Adams…
We geared up for a winter like last year: right after the Halloween snowstorm, we stocked up on snow shovels, Rock Salt and road sand to get everyone through what we thought was going to be a repeat of last year.  Instead, it is January and we are still selling topsoil and grass seed!

Looking forward to Spring…
Our plan is to have an abundant supply of “homemade” compost and mulch, in addition to the many other organic products that we have always carried.  We will be able to offer our own material at lower, competitive prices, so keep those gardening tools sharpened!
